Warranties/Repair: America Hears offers a standard one year repair warranty on all instruments, unless otherwise specified. The warranty covers repairs due to fit and/or function failure. This warranty is for damage to the instruments that occurs during the normal use of the instrument.
This warranty does not cover misuse or excessive damage to the aid and it does not cover the loss of an instrument.
Excessive damage may include: An aid that has been crushed (stepped on or run over), an aid that a pet has chewed, an aid that has been over exposed to moisture (worn in the shower, pool, long exposure to high humidity areas), an aid that has been overexposed to heat (stored in glove compartment of car, dried in a microwave or oven), aids damaged in shipping.
It is the discretion of AHI to determine that a hearing aid is damaged beyond repair and therefore not covered under the standard repair warranty.
Speaker-in-the-ear tubes will be replaced up to 3 times during the 12 month warranty and the defective tube must be sent in before we will process an in warranty replacement.
Flex connectors are warranted for 60 days from date of invoice.
The out of warranty repair service includes a 12 month warranty. If there is a charge for your repair, a check, money order, or credit card number must be received before the repair work is done.
Included in your America Hears kit you will find all the necessary supplies to send in your repair (including proper packaging). If you choose not to use this packaging, you are responsible to package your instruments properly to avoid damage during shipping. If aids are received with excessive damage they may not be covered under the repair warranty. (See Hearing Instrument Protection Plan.)

An additional second year extended repair warranty can be purchased for $89.00 per instrument, within 60 days of invoice (does not cover the SIE tubing).

 

 

AHI repair warranty does not cover excessive damage, loss or theft of your hearing aids.

AHI Hearing Instrument Protection Plan (Loss & Damage Coverage)

1 year plan: $99.00 per instrument

2 year plan: $149.00 per instrument

3 year plan: $199.00 per instrument

This plan covers your hearing aid for loss, damage, or theft for one, two or three years from date of invoice depending on the plan you purchase. We will replace or repair with a new, used or rebuilt hearing aid of the same (when available) or similar model (if exact replacement is not possible.) There is a $200 deductible that the client must pay per hearing aid claim (per instrument.) Limit of one claim (repair or replacement) during the duration of the plan. Original warranty dates apply. Replacement aid(s) are not eligible for refund even if within the return period. Per state and federal laws, a new audiogram may be required to replace aid.

Plan is only available within the first 30 days of purchase. Inspection of aids by America Hears will be required if purchased after initial shipment. Only the hearing instruments are covered in this plan. Accessories, Tubing, Earmolds, Programming supplies are not covered. Client must submit an AHI claim form, Protection Plan Receipt, and their deductible to process. During our normal 60 day return for credit period, a full refund of the protection plan price will be refunded with the return of the America Hears Aid(s) for credit. There is no refund after that. If clients find their lost or stolen hearing aid after a replacement has been issued - it becomes the property of AHI and must be returned. AHI reserves the right to confiscate the found original hearing aid.

 

 

Programming Kit: Only one programming kit will be supplied per customer regardless of the number of purchases unless otherwise noted.

Model Change: A model change can only be made within 60 days of invoice. You will be charged or credited the difference accordingly. There will be no model changes made after the 60 day period.

Returns for Refund: Any hearing instruments may be returned for a full refund (including shipping), if such return is made within 60 days of receipt. For full refunds, the hearing system must be returned complete and undamaged. This includes the programmer, cables, CD rom, hearing instruments, tubing, earmolds, batteries and all accessories.

Technology Upgrade Program: When more advanced FreedomTM technology is introduced, a prorated portion of your current hearing aids' cost can be applied toward the purchase price of new instruments provided the new technology is compatible with your current style of instrument. This allows you to enjoy the benefits of the new technology without paying the full new instrument price. Upgrades come with a full one year warranty.

Referral Reward Program: Have your friend or relative tell us that you have referred them and 60 days after their hearing aid purchase we will send you a check for $25. Refer as many as you like, there is no limit. Call our hearing aid specialists for additional details.

Trade In Policy:

Clients may "Trade In" one hearing aid of any make or model, in any condition, and receive a $100 credit towards the purchase of a new AHI hearing instrument.

The credit can be applied to new aids only and only one trade in can be applied for each instrument. The maximum credit for a single hearing aid order is $100.00 and $200.00 for a binaural set.

The trade in hearing aid(s) becomes the property of AHI immediately upon receipt.

AHI is not responsible for replacing the trade in instruments in the event they are lost or damaged at any time during the shipping process.

In the event that the client chooses to return the AHI hearing aid(s), with in the standard 60 day trial period, the Trade In aid(s) will be returned to the client in "as is" condition.

AHI will not clean, repair, program or test for function the Trade In hearing aids.

AHI will not be responsible for the condition of the returned Trade In aid(s).

Any accessories sent with the Trade In hearing aid(s) will be discarded and not returned even in the event that the AHI aid(s) are returned within the 60 day trial period. Example: Batteries, carrying pouches, cleaning tools, presentation cases.

At the end of the 60 day trial period the aid(s) will be destroyed.

The Trade In offer cannot be combined with any other offer.
