Although we are sure you will be pleased with your America Hears purchase, hearing aids and hearing enhancers can be returned within 90 days of receipt for a full refund. Non-hearing aid items (accessories, programming box, etc.) purchased at AmericaHears.com may be returned within 30 days of receiving them for a full refund.
If you need to send your product back to us, please use the original manufacturer’s packaging and ensure it is in new condition.
Prior to returning an item, please contact one of our Customer Experience Team Members at 800-492-4515. They will provide you with a Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Just add the RMA to the original invoice and include it with the packaged product.
When we receive and inspect the return, a refund or credit will be issued right away.
Included in the purchase price of a hearing aid is a 1 year repair warranty from the date of purchase unless otherwise specified. This covers the hearing instrument and the SIE receiver (if applicable and limited to 1 replacement receiver during each year). This warranty covers malfunctions of any part of the hearing aid, not related to misuse of the product. This does not cover the loss of an instrument, or aids that are excessively damaged beyond repair (an aid that would require all new internal components to repair).
Excessive damage includes, but is not limited to: Hearing instruments that have been physically damaged, crushed (stepped on or run over), hearing instruments that a pet has chewed, hearing instruments that have been over exposed to moisture (worn in the shower, pool, laundered, long exposure to high humidity areas), a hearing instrument that has been overexposed to heat (stored in glove compartment of car, dried in a microwave or oven), and hearing instruments damaged in shipping. Tampering with and/or altering the hearing aid will void the warranty.
America Hears shall, at its sole discretion, determine if a hearing instrument is damaged beyond repair and therefore not covered under the standard repair warranty. This warranty does not cover the replacement of earmolds, acoustic tubes or ear tips. Earmolds (if applicable) are under warranty for modification and/or remake (new style, new model, or new mold) for 90 days for fit and/or comfort.
Loss and Damage coverage can be purchased up to 90 days from the original purchase date and covers the product for 3 years. With Loss and Damage coverage you receive an additional 2 years of manufacturer’s warranty.
This policy covers a full replacement of each covered hearing aid and one receiver (if applicable) that has been lost or damaged beyond repair. Limited to one replacement per ear during the 3 year term. Warranty date from original sale does not change for the replacement aid. There is a claim fee deductible at time of claim per hearing aid(s) which is listed below. Replacement hearing aids are provided by the manufacturer and cannot be delivered immediately from America Hears inventory. There is up to a 7 business day waiting period for processing and shipping.
Depending on the model purchased there are varied costs for the extended warranty & loss and damage coverage. In the event the hearing instrument is lost or stolen, you will only pay the fee for replacement. Please see the chart below for specifics.

If your hearing aid is out of warranty, your unit is at the discretion of the manufacturer on whether it is repairable subject to availability of the parts and components necessary. To repair an out of warranty hearing aid, the cost is $399.99.
Hearing aids needing repair more than 4 years from purchase date may no longer be repairable depending on availability of components and changes in technology.
If you would like to have your hearing aids professionally cleaned and evaluated on performance, the fee for this service is $29.99, shipping not included.
