Issues

Just received a pair of Essentials Hearing Aids at a good price and fast delivery.
The package came with 40 batteries #10 which are the wrong ones for these hearing aids.
I downloaded the appropriate manual which stated that these require the battery #312, and this is reflected in the online picture of contents.
Off to town to buy a package of 312 batteries which do not fit either!
Of course the website was of little help and has a whole other set of problems with linking to old sales promotions, old info in LucidHome, etc.
What are the correct batteries for these hearing aids and what literature correctly references the proper batteries (they appear to be maybe #13) ??

AH rocks again!

I started using AH CIC aids over 20 years ago, but then got priced out of the market. Now, in retirement on fixed income I discovered the economical "Essential" BTE Speaker in Ear aids for $499 pair with programming gear. While BTE is not my first choice, these function very well and I do like the programming at home.

On the negative side, the designer obviously was not a hearing aid wearer. The positioning of the connection on the adjustment cable comes out of the battery compartment on the ear side of the aid. This oversight makes positioning the hearing aid on your ear with programming cable in place not only awkward, but seems like it would be prone to damaging the connection section of the cable. Back to the drawing board, AH!!!

That is my only complaint, though. Nicola has been over & beyond in the process of originally introducing me to this economical choice, the purchasing process, the original programming and the home programming questions that have arisen. A huge shout out to her!!

For this price, this is a great option for those needing hearing aids. My suggestions would be to redesign the programming cable positioning AND, for a price bump, to offer a 2 mic version of the Essential.
